A pair against a lower pair: about 4 to 1
Aces against kings win 81.1% of the time and split 0.38%. The kings are not dead: they need a king, or a straight or flush that the aces do not share, and they get there on almost one board in five.
A pair against two overcards: the "coin flip"
Queens against ace-king are called a coin flip, but the pair is a small favourite: 57.2% against 42.8%. The closest thing to a true coin flip is a small pair against two big suited cards: ace-king of hearts against a pair of twos is almost exactly even, 50.1% to 49.9%.
Shared cards: domination
Kings against ace-king suited keep 65.9%: the ace-king needs one of the three remaining aces, a straight or a flush. Aces against ace-king are an even bigger favourite, 92.6%, because the ace-king shares a card with the aces and wins mainly with a straight or a flush.
Jacks against ace-king
A middle pair is still a small favourite over ace-king suited: 53.9% against 46.1%.
